Keyboard Cleaning
My Happy Hacking Keyboard Professional Classic was surprisingly dirty given that I obtained it new only a few months ago and I’ve been careful to wash my hands before touching it.
I removed all the keycaps and then cleaned it with some dry cotton swabs and a handheld vacuum cleaner.
The Control, both Shift, Delete, Return, Alt, and both ◆ (Meta) keys were easier to remove than I expected. For the spacebar, I simply removed it manually without any tools after removing the other 59 keys and then set the spring aside.
Eventually, I intend to clean the keycaps with soap and water. There is an official cleaning guide, but this was just an informal cleaning to remove the dirt I found.
